EM-Q Seal Usage Rules

Version 1.0 · In force since October 2026 · Public document binding on all companies displaying the EM-Q seal.

1. Nature of the EM-Q seal

EM-Q ("EasyMaid Quality") is a private, voluntary quality standard for cleaning services, defined and administered by EasyMaid. The EM-Q seal attests that a service or company meets the requirements published at https://easy-maid.com/en/quality-standard, verified with real execution data recorded on the EasyMaid platform. The EM-Q seal is not an accredited certification under the Portuguese Quality System (IPAC) and does not equal ISO certifications issued by accredited bodies.

2. Ownership

The EM-Q standard, its logos, levels (Base, Silver, Gold) and all associated distinctive signs are the exclusive property of EasyMaid. EasyMaid acts as the scheme owner, in the sense defined by ISO/IEC 17065 and the Portuguese Industrial Property Code (articles 215–217, Decree-Law 110/2018).

3. Award criteria

The seal is awarded exclusively by automatic calculation over real data — never by self-declaration or payment. For individual services, the level is determined by the proof gathered (checklist, time records, geolocated check-in/out, photographic evidence). For companies, the level results from the conformity score over audited services: Gold ≥90% with no open incidents; Silver ≥70%; below that or without sufficient data the seal stays "under assessment". EasyMaid does not sell, award or withdraw levels by commercial decision.

4. Licence and authorised use

Companies operating on the EasyMaid platform are authorised to display the seal matching their current level on their own site (via the official widget/iframe or a provided image), in commercial proposals and in documentation, for as long as they hold the awarded level. The seal must always link to the public verification page (easy-maid.com/selo/…) or, on service documents, to the record verification page (easy-maid.com/verificar/…).

5. Prohibited uses

It is prohibited to: (a) display the seal without an active awarded level; (b) display a level higher than awarded; (c) change the seal's colours, proportions or text; (d) suggest ISO certification, IPAC accreditation or public-entity approval; (e) keep using the seal after suspension or revocation. Unauthorised use constitutes a misleading commercial practice under art. 8(b) of Decree-Law 57/2008 and a trademark infringement under the Industrial Property Code.

6. Monitoring, suspension and revocation

The level is recalculated continuously. The seal is automatically suspended when the score falls below the threshold or when critical incidents are open, and revoked in case of record falsification, abusive use or cessation of activity on the platform. A company that stops operating on EasyMaid automatically loses the right to display the seal.

7. Complaints and appeal

Any company may contest the award, suspension or revocation of its seal by writing to info@easy-maid.com with the EM-Q reference or the ID of the record in question. EasyMaid reviews the underlying data and replies within 15 business days. Third parties (clients, condominiums) may likewise report misuse of the seal through the same channel.

8. Changes to these rules

Changes are publicly versioned on the standard page and take effect on the publication date. Licensed companies are notified by email at least 30 days in advance when a change affects the award criteria.

9. Applicable law

These rules are governed by Portuguese law. Disputes are submitted to the competent court of the district of EasyMaid's registered office, without prejudice to alternative dispute-resolution mechanisms provided by law.

Notice. EM-Q is a private conformity seal from EasyMaid. It neither replaces nor simulates accredited certifications (ISO 9001, ISSA CIMS, etc.) issued by certification bodies accredited by IPAC. Companies certified by accredited bodies may state that additionally — the two things are compatible.
